Jim Middaugh for City Council.
The Clear Choice for ALL of Portland.
Jim Will Speak for Our Priorities.
Our City. Our Future.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ballots are out, and this race is headed
for the finish line. We’ve gotten this far through the hard work of
hundreds of dedicated volunteers who know that the city belongs to them—not
powerful and wealthy special interests.
But the work is not over yet! Now
more than ever, we need your help to spread the word about Jim and his
message of a Portland we can ALL be proud of. If you’re a supporter,
take a minute to email or call your friends and tell them why you’re
voting for Jim. Better yet, sign up to call some of your neighbors or
knock on doors. Get in touch with us at 503 231-2859 to find out how
you can help.
And if you haven’t yet made up your
mind, take some time to look through this site to find out more about
Jim.
But you don’t have to take our word
for it. Here’s what people are saying about Jim:
“[W]hat the city needs now is an
advocate who will find the funding to make those (affordable housing)
policies a reality, and a leader who will make sure the city doesn't
lose sight of our housing-for-all goals. Middaugh, a natural when it
comes to bringing people together and getting them excited about the
task at hand, is the right guy for the job.”
“Not only does he remind us of why
we moved here in the first place, but he makes us want to stick around
and turn this city into an even more amazing place. Middaugh deserves
your vote.”
Portland Mercury endorsement
“In addition to having an intricate
knowledge of how city bureaus work, Middaugh has lengthy and well-regarded
credentials in the environmental community.”
Oregonian
Remember, if you want to give Jim the
chance to protect Portland’s progressive ideals, your ballot needs
to be returned by May 20.
Go Jim!

In the race for Erik Sten’s City
Council seat, there are several candidates – and one very clear choice.
Jim Middaugh is a genuine leader for
all of Portland. Jim graduated from the University of Oregon in
1980 and now lives with his family in Portland’s Kerns neighborhood
where they have lived since 1992.
Jim’s been delivering for Portland
for 15 years:
• A community leader
who’s earned a reputation for honesty, accountability and action,
Jim is a former co-chair of his neighborhood association.
• A problem solver and
consensus builder, Jim brought government and
business together to cut through regulatory red tape.
• Jim knows his way around
City Hall, and will deliver for us starting Day One.
• A money saver, he helped
find over $1 million in savings in city programs
Jim has a vision for our city and our
future:
• Keeping our neighborhoods
safe, vibrant and healthy by investing in schools,
parks, police and affordable housing for families.
• Making sure new development
enhances our quality of life and protects our neighborhoods and natural
resources.
• Ensuring access to
city services for ALL Portlanders, and keeping close watch on the bottom
line.
Jim’s energy, hard work and record
of delivering for Portland are why he broke all records in gathering
grassroots support to qualify for Portland’s Voter-Owned Election
Program.
Jim is the only candidate in this race
who is voter-owned. Because he’s voter-owned, he’s only beholden
to you, not to special interests.
Unlike his main opponent, Jim isn’t
a well-connected downtown lawyer. He hasn’t spent the last six
years running for various offices. Instead, Jim Middaugh has been
making a difference for Portland and for Oregon where it really counts:
in our neighborhoods, in our schools and for our environment.
